In today’s video I’m beating Britain’s great rail rip off. When I learned the state run intercity railway LNER was charging nearly £200 for a standard class ticket back to London from Edinburgh, I figured…there has to be a better way. So, I set myself a challenge. Can I beat the train back to London by flying…via Amsterdam? And, can I do it all for less money? I’ll be heading from Edinburgh Castle to St Pauls’ in London to make it fair, totalling my costs en route and seeing if I really can beat Britain’s great rail rip off! And stay tuned - I’ll also give you three less wacky ways around these horrible prices - and explain why they are so high - at the end of the video.
