Tomball is a magnificent feral kitty who was shot in the face, and in the leg. The pellets broke his jaw and his humerus, sending a multitude of ballistics fragments throughout his head and sinuses, causing untold pain. He’ll need a specialist surgery to repair the damage that was done.
Here's what's next for our gentle soul, Tomball:
Dr. Yee discovered a giant polyp in his left ear canal, as well as smaller polyps likely developing in his right ear.
His dental + polyp surgeries will be complicated, so he will be referred to a specialist to come up with the best possible plan. Polyps are painful, so getting that out should really improve his quality of life.
His neuter went well, and they were able to give his ears a thorough flushing, so he should be more comfortable while we wait for his specialist appointment to be scheduled. We will continue to work hard to make him feel safe enough to love us even 14% as much as we love him.

We've made it our mission in life to make sure he only knows love, comfort and freedom from pain for the rest of his life.
As far as comfort goes... he's finding a lot of it in his ridiculously floofy friend, Hibbing. Seeing him slowly let his walls down and let some love and comfort in has been the most beautiful thing! He has a ways to go before he will be comfortable with humans, but we're so proud of his progress, given everything he's had to survive.
