Abu Dhabi 2024 saw Carlos Sainz finally reborn as a Williams driver, with the 30-year-old F1 hot-shot swapping red for white at a postseason filming day - and then test - at Yas Marina Circuit. The switched-on Spaniard had done his best to memorise all the Ferrari SF-24’s critical details during the closing laps of last year’s season finale so that he could make a close comparison to the Williams.
But, there’s no doubt the British team is leagues behind the race winning Scuderia, with Sainz its most recent victor in Mexico last year.

Las Vegas’ night race is set for an earlier start this year in a bid to snag more American viewers. The standout event, which returned to the F1 calendar in 2023 after four decades, and with a new track layout and location that takes in the world famous Strip, has now had two editions. But, this year’s event has been brought forward to start at 8pm local time, 11pm Eastern, 4am UK, to make the Las Vegas race more accessible to all Americans - and build its fanbase.

F1’s group launch will take place at London’s O2 arena on February 18, when Ferrari will unveil its 2025 livery to the British audience. The squad’s 2025 car, since confirmed to be named the SF-25, will be launched the following day on February 19, with a shakedown at Fiorano before pre-season testing on February 26-28.
