Miyamoto Musashi (1584–1645) was a legendary Japanese samurai, strategist, and author of the classic The Book of Five Rings. Undefeated in over 60 duels, he created the two-sword fighting style, Niten Ichi-ryū. After his career as a warrior, he retreated to the Reigandō cave, where he wrote his teachings on strategy, philosophy, and self-mastery, leaving behind an eternal legacy.

Based on Antigone by Sophocles and Seven Against Thebes by Aeschylus, this episode explores how, after Oedipus’ fall, Thebes descended into chaos as his sons, Eteocles and Polynices, clashed for the throne. Both died in a fratricidal battle, leaving the city in ruins. Creon seized the throne, but his tyranny led him to condemn Antigone for burying Polynices against his orders. His stubbornness resulted in the deaths of Antigone, his son, and his wife, bringing about his downfall, symbolizing divine punishment for pride and injustice.
