I've gotten a lot of comments asking "wheres the new video", "when can I upload" etc, I can't upload as much as I used to, and can't even give a schedule or even idea of how often I can post, for various reasons. I just plan to do more.

This origami box of boxes is made from 4 diamond shaped boxes on the inside. These gem shaped boxes are inside-out variations of my previous box "Origami Diamond Box & Lid", back in 2015 (re-make tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJUofb2JRPA).
This looks like a great homemade chocolate or desert box. Otherwise it would be great to store crystals, beads, pins and any other small items that need to be sorted.

The small square inner box is a reversed custom size masu box, the outer box and lid in a masu box of a custom size. I had sketched the idea for this box on the back of a pad of paper at some point.

Use thick paper or thin card for best results.

4 sheets of square paper 15 x 15 cm
1 square sheet of square paper 12.5 x 12.5 cm (trimmed down from the 15 x 15cm)
2 sheets of 21 x 21 cm paper (trimmed from A4 paper)
Final model size: 11.5 x 11.5 x 2.7 cm

Using other sizes:
To get the correct size sheets, take the size you want to use for the outer box.
For example, 30 x 30 cm (for the outer box and lid)
Divide 30 by 1.4 = 21 (use 21 for the gem shaped boxes)
Then take 21 and divide by 1.2 = 17.5 (use for the small inner box)

I've had this little origami pot plant sitting on my desk for a long time, I think it was waiting for the pot to be created, as that's brand new. Thought of calling this a love heart plant or something, as the leaves look like little hearts..

Hope you enjoy the tutorial, this one was quite hard to film, I'm rusty and clearly had trouble keeping the paper in the frame. I actually re-filmed some of this on seperate days. 😅 As for future videos, I don't know if I am actually "back", we will see how it goes. 🙏🏼

Learn how to make a geometric origami pot or box. This unique popup box is make from 1 sheet of square paper, no glue or scissors required.

This origami pot was made specifically for the mini origami pot plants 🪴. The little plants actually waited about a year for this pot, hope those plants think it's worth the wait..

I filmed this twice because the first time, the footage got corrupted, and this second time, I couldn't see as I was folding the grid at the start (I blame the lights). But it ended up being a chill kind of video, I didn't speed any of it up so people can probably fold along, instead of pausing constantly.

I recommend using strong paper for this, not weak rippy paper like mine.

Design: © Paper Kawaii - After being informed by a reader that this is in-fact a Verdi’s Vase variation, I have found a similar box that has been published in the book “Papiroflexia Facil” by Vicent Palacios. The “vase” is called “Rotated box”. There is also a Verdi’s Vase variation by Phillip Shen in the book “More Geometric Paperfolds” which features the same base shape. So this box (and the other variation in the photo above) are my own variations of the Verdi’s Vase model.

Learn how to make an origami envelope with a Christmas tree design on the front. Make them into a mini origami book! These origami pockets were made especially for putting tea packets inside. You can write messages, add money or gift cards. No glue required!

Who likes tea? I'm not too keen on tea. 😅 But, I know a LOT of people who love it, you could make a pretty cool handmade gift by selecting different teas and making a "tea gift book" - yep, I did just make that up....

Other things to do with them: write "Merry Christmas" in them and give to people. Or use them as gift tags on Christmas presents, or.. pop some money in them, or make a book of redeemable chores.

❗️ EDIT: The clip at the end got replaced with something from earlier, it's meant to show the two last flaps of the book spine slot into the inner cover flaps.. hope that most people worked that out.. no one left a comment and its been more than a year... 😊

Learn how to make an origami Christmas tree using 1 sheet of paper. This little paper tree can sit in a pot, decorate with a star on top or other kinds of Xmas decorations.

This origami tree uses the accordion folding technique. It's a bit fiddly but hopefully it's worth the challenge. I recommend using the thinnest, but strongest paper you can find. Normal origami paper will work fine, but I wouldn't recommend using paper any smaller than A4 or US letter paper.

I haven't tried to use US Letter paper but I'm sure it would be fine, you just might end up with a longer "trunk". Yes you can use glue to make things easier at the end, no one will ever know!

It's rated 4 stars, so that means it's a bit harder than my regular tutorials, but you could always use bigger paper, even though.. it might not work as nicely.

Please use THIN paper, not thick paper, thick paper will be very hard to work with and would probably rip. Thin but strong paper, like origami paper would be best. I used horrible soft paper in the video and it's so easy to rip it.
1 sheet of square paper for the pot (10 x 10 cm)
1 sheet of rectangular paper for the soil
1 strip of paper for the lucky star (1.5 x 1.5cm)

Final size: 13 x 8.5 x 8.5 cm ish

Learn how to make a special origami pinwheel with a pinwheel on both sides. It will spin in both directions! Made from 1 sheet of square paper, no glue or cutting required. They make really nice hanging decorations & even earrings.

The pinwheel on the back is the inverse colour of the one on the other side.

I designed this model some time last year, it has been sitting amongst other experiments, as it was pretty tricky to fold it again and work out the best method. Hopefully other people find it appealing too. I just like it for a decoration.

I can imagine making some earrings of these, or a paper garland, Christmas tree decorations etc. They spin around really well too, in both directions seeing as there are two pinwheels there.

The design of this box uses a well known twisting method. This design actually came to me in a dream, it was not a nice dream.. a stressful dream. Anyway, hope you enjoy these stacking boxes.

I think these would make a nice gift box for tea bags, You'd need slightly larger paper than what I used, perhaps with 30 x 30cm it would be big enough depending on the tea packets.

Thick paper is good for this but thin paper works very well also, because the inner rim of the box will start to buckle inwards with thick paper, so do not use card.

The lids... I show an alternative method at the end for the pinwheel design on top, but that was just me messing around with it at the end, sorry if the extra lid was not that clear, you basically make each of the corners into half a fish base. And then slot them all inwards..

Learn how to make a honeycomb shaped origami box. This box has 7 to 9 sections, you can use this to organise stationery, makeup or just for display. No glue required.

🔇 No you haven't gone deaf, there is no music, just the sound of the paper being folded and some birds chirping now and then. Let me know which you prefer in the comments please, music or folding sounds.

The inner boxes are made so that the color and design is on the inside rather than outside. If any of making the inner boxes was unclear in this video, check out the original ones first, might help.

This video took soooo long to make, not sure why, it was just really annoying actually... It has prevented me from continuing on with other models so I'm very happy it's now done, even if... it probably won't be that popular..

Outer box:
2 sheets of rectangular paper. I used A4(21x29.6cm) but you can use any size such as US Letter paper (printer paper). Best to use thickish paper.

Inner Hexagonal boxes:
1 sheet of square paper. If you used A4 the size is 15 x 15cm
(if using other sizes, divide the long edge of the rectangular paper by 2)

Inner Octagonal box:
1 sheet of rectangular paper the same size as the outer box.
