I hope you consider taking a few minutes to watch or listen to my conversation with Neil (including outtakes!) as he gives sage advice as the guest mentor on The Mentors Radio. Neil shares how he feels the soul of handcrafted guitars like Old Black and cars like Lincvolt, why he still uses old-fashioned analog as much as possible in his recording process, his love for Daryl and Ben, and how he keeps fit so that his last name fits at age 79.

Neil describes the work he put into his new Archives Volume III box, and how he got sued for making music deemed “uncharacteristic” (which he’s considering as a name for an upcoming album)! I left our discussion with great anticipation to hear the new album he’s working on, which he loves so much that he plans to reward himself with a new (and planet-friendly) set of wheels!
