Volvo debuted the Cross Country version of the EX30. It gets slightly more ground clearance, larger wheels and an option of all-terrain tires, plus unique fender flares, and black segments on the tailgate and front bumper, and a grille that’s engraved with the topography of a mountain range in Sweden. The roof rack and basket are options too. The interior appears to be the same as a regular EX30, and power-wise it’s the same too, coming only with the twin motor powertrain that provides AWD, 422 hp and 400 lb/ft of torque. It’s powered by a 69 kWh battery that does about 265 miles of range and can charge from 10%-80% in 26 minutes. It will be coming to the U.S. and Volvo says it’ll be available later this year but there’s no pricing yet.

Jeep has teased the next-gen Compass in a new YouTube video they posted called “TechTalks with Ned Curie: Ep.1 - AI”. In it, they show off technical drawings of the vehicle, including one that shows off the flat front end with square headlights and the signature Jeep grille slats. It also looks a lot more boxy all around compared to the current generation. The video also shows that it’ll be related to the Peugeot 3008 and as we’ve known previously, it’ll come in both electric and gas versions, riding on the STLA Medium platform. It can’t come soon enough, and rumors suggest it should debut in November.

There's some nice improvements, and one unfortunate change, but overall, the Odyssey still struggles to compete with the more feature-packed, technology-packed, more capable and more efficient competitors.
