My friends and I visited Zion National Park to hike the notorious, heart-pumping Angels Landing. If you don't like heights, this trail is not for you. These, in my opinion, were the scariest sections of the trail, only a step away from falling hundreds of feet to the canyon floor. Super fun. We parked our open-air rig in the middle of a field in the Serengeti and watched in awe as this massive male lion got closer and closer. Little did I know he was going to pass within arms reach on my side of the vehicle... As he passed, he shot me a look that I interpreted as, "You're lucky I just ate."

I just got back from an African safari in Tanzania. We were on a night drive in a remote part of the Serengeti and decided to turn the engine off to see what we could hear. About a mile away we heard these loud roars, which we thought were sounds of a lion pride defending a kill. Turns out, it was a mating ritual between two wild, full-grown, beautiful lions. When the lioness is in heat, she will mate every 15 minutes for 5-7 days straight. The mating pair are inseparable during this period; no hunting, no eating, simply getting it on like clockwork. Incredible stuff!
