I hope you enjoy this piano version of IDK. I feel like it brings out a slightly softer meaning of the lyrics so I wanted to share this with you.
A huge thank you to my long time friend and collaborator, Tim Baxter, for not only recording and mixing, but for also letting us camp out at his beautiful studio and using it as a great location for the video.
And I can't thank Charlie Thornton and Barnabas Shaw enough for such making such a peaceful visual to showcase the meaning of the song. You can check out his work with the link below..

IDK is about not feeling ready or good enough for love. I found it difficult to like myself sometimes and that negativity always made me feel like I was letting the people around me down. So when I felt sad, I would daydream a lot. I would space out and go into my own head and stay there till I felt safer. I wrote this in 2017, and I’ve been wanting to release since that day, along with so many other songs since then.
I’m finally out of my label deal and I am ready to release the caves of music that I’ve been working on quietly in the background, waiting for the right moment. It’s the music I’ve always wanted to make. It’s really nice to finally be in this position. It’s made me feel passionate about things again.
I will be slowly releasing more and more songs over the coming year that are all connected, no longer restricted or pigeon-holed. For the first time in a long time, I feel proud and excited. I hope you like IDK X

After recording the demo in Liverpool it felt fitting to head back to the room where we wrote the song and perform a live version. @cleancutkid is literally my most played artist on spotify so writing with him and @SamSure, who's one of my closest friends and collaborators, was the perfect team to tackle such a difficult and emotional subject. This was such a cathartic experience with mike (@cleancutkid ) on guitar and sam behind the camera. I'm so happy to have this song out there for others to hear and I hope if anyone else has experienced loss it brings them some comfort. It feels really great to be singing again and i have big plans for this year, lots of new music! Thank you to everyone that has stayed with me and supported me through the most difficult time of life. x

Lyrics (on subtitles)
Jed said it best
Oh the sun will set
Only to rise again
I say it’s funny,
Though my eyes are wet
Somehow everything’s changed
But nothing I guess
The words escape me every time
No perfect line
No poetry in dying
In my grief, I’ll laugh as much as cry
While life without you starts
While life without you starts
Tonight
Maybe I’ll stand in an empty field
Walk till the day makes sense
Maybe I’ll see now the windows clean
That there’s nothing to fear
But fear itself
The words escape me every time
There’s no perfect line
Ain’t no poetry in dying
In my grief, I’ll laugh as much as cry
While life without you starts
While life without you starts
Tonight
And sad not beautiful
It’s flowers
At a funeral
And the words escape me every time
There’s no perfect line
No poetry in dying
In my dreams, I’ll laugh as much as cry
While life without you starts
Life without you starts
Tonight
