I built an omni-directional ball-wheeled bike. This bike balanced like a Segway sideways, and drives in all directions, which makes it the ultimate drift bike! I used five ODrive brushless motors driving omni-directional wheels, running on large plastic balls which are intended for circus acts to balance on. Active control keeps it upright and twist grips are used to drive and steer.

Building a walking animatronic for Halloween which actually walks along. I tried to scale up a mechanical toy that can walk to see if it can be human sized. I decided to scale up a clockwork walking toy and see what happens. It took some dynamic velocity control and arms to shift mass but it can walk! I made this walking animatronic machine to Springtrap from FNAF Five Nights at Freddy's.

Wouldn't it be cool to build a Star Wars AT-AT that I can ride on? I'm using large 3D prints made with a 1.2mm Nozzle, and aluminium extrusion and plates to make the main structure. Each half-leg has two motors driving an intermediate gear, before driving a gear track which operates the parallelogram mechanism. Next time I'll be putting the chassis on top and working out the control and inverse kinematics.

I built a giant Tentacle Robot and took it to EMF Camp, and then let everyone have a go on it. This tentacle robot uses giant oblique angled swivelling servo sections made from plywood and 3D printing to move it's body. On top is another tentacle operated by cables with the manipulator on the end. The whole things is wireless (for now) and controlled with ESP Now.
