His body was later found. He left a suicide letter before shooting himself in which he admitted strangling Petito.

Police in Memphis, Tennessee, say three men armed with assault rifles snuck up on an armored car driver while she was servicing an ATM. They pointed their weapons at her while they helped themselves to boxes of cash. Within seconds they had the money and jumped into a white Nissan Altima to get away. A$AP Rocky leaped straight into the arms of his partner Rihanna after a jury found him not guilty in his gun assault trial. The rapper was on trial for allegedly shooting a former friend with a semi-automatic weapon in 2021. He claimed he was carrying a prop gun loaded with blanks. A$AP Rocky faced 24 years in prison. In a statement, Youth Racers of America says, “With proper safety gear, the sport is incredibly safe, and when injuries do rarely occur it’s because of freak accidents or incorrect safety protocols.”
Native American activist Leonard Peltier was released from prison. The 80-year-old spent almost 5 decades in prison after he was convicted of aiding and abetting murder in the 1975 deaths of two FBI agents. Peltier says he was present during the shootout on South Dakota's Pine Ridge Indian Reservation when the agents were killed, but that he had no connection to the crime. Joe Biden commuted Peltier's sentence, allowing the activist to be released.
