This review of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card benchmarks the performance of the new GPU, particularly with the 5070 Ti vs. the 5080, 4080 Super, 4070 Ti Super, AMD RX 7900 XTX, and similar cards. Benchmarking includes gaming performance tests of the best video cards in 2025, some revisits of older cards like the RTX 3070 and GTX 1070, and power consumption and efficiency tests. The GPU market is in an era of absurdity now, reminiscent of 2020. Price means nothing.

In this video, we talk about the fake prices on NVIDIA's RTX 50 series, including the RTX 5090, 5080, and apparently, the inbound 5070 Ti. We'll see about that one soon. The video covers not only the scalper situation, but the first-party sellers forcing attachment of unwanted, old inventory with NVIDIA's GPUs.

This livestream features the NVIDIA RTX 5090 (specifically, the ASUS RTX 5090 Astral OC model) with an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU. We're overclocking the ASUS 5090 Astral on air, but we've shunt modded the GPU to bypass power limits. Today, we're benchmarking in 3D Mark Steel Nomad and Port Royal -- and just for some extra fun, we're pointing a high-end thermal camera at the back of the GPU and the 12VHPWR cables. Maybe it'll melt. Or maybe we'll get a record. This isn't meant to be an overclocking guide, but because we're OCing on air today instead of LN2, it's all take-home information that may help. The biggest challenge will be software.

In hardware news this week, we're talking about the burned 12VHPWR (and 12V-2x6) cables and connectors on the NVIDIA RTX 50 series GPUs now, including the 5090s. Additionally, Cyberpower has responded to GN's review, AMD announced the announcement of its previously announced RX 9070 GPUs, Meta is allegedly pirating content for AI, and the 5060 Ti is rumored to exist.

This is our first testing we've ever published with our fan testing machine that we bought several years ago. This process will be long and gradual as we build the knowledge required to fully tackle fan comparison charts, eventually leading to BIGGER BAR BETTER, which is all anyone wants in life. For now, we're beginning the exploratory process of publishing experimental results while we study how best to present the data and structure the language describing the results. We're excited for this and have more planned in the coming few weeks! This is the debut of our GamersNexus Fan Tester, and it's starting with case mesh porosity benchmarking.
This benchmark looks at the impact on airflow and performance characteristics (at a top level) from different porosities of mesh front panel. It'll help us better understand one of the key components for a good high-airflow computer case.

The Zotac RTX 5080 Solid OC is in for review and testing. Our benchmarks include overclocking the RTX 5080 Solid, thermal testing, noise levels and acoustics, a tear-down of the Zotac card, and more. Unfortunately, the biggest immediate killer of the card is its value, especially with its seemingly arbitrary and variable day-to-day pricing that makes it anywhere from 10% to 30% more expensive than NVIDIA's baseline MSRP for the RTX 5080 GPUs. That alone makes the card lose any recommendation from us (to save you the time), but we'll still go through all the benchmarking and testing for anyone who may end up considering buying one of these anyway.

We review Cyberpower's pre-built gaming PC with an AMD Ryzen 9800X3D CPU in it. The system has all the right components, a competitive price, and a horrible cooling solution that throttles the CPU by 200 MHz all-core. It's an unfortunate story as old as our first reviews of Cyberpower's pre-built PCs. The 9800X3D overheats at 95 degrees Celsius under the 240mm liquid cooler, which we think is partly related to poor contact. The case is also deceptively closed off, despite appearing relatively open. We were disappointed by this one, as everything else about it was excellently done. OS install was clean, the BIOS was right, the drivers were recent, the build was overall good.

In hardware news this week, Intel launches a strangely shaped CPU IHS, AMD has a vulnerability exposed by ASUS by accident, NVIDIA's stock drop plummets, the 50 series continues to be a retail myth, and the Steam Brick mod gives us something positive and fun for the week. News has been busy the last few weeks!

We talk about NVIDIA's DLSS 4.0 multi-frame generation (MFG), NVIDIA's weird decisions on testing tools, differences in transformer vs. CNN (convolutional neural network) models, benchmark performance, and generated frames. Frame generation commonly gets referred to as "artificial" frames, "generated" frames, or commonly online, "fake frames." This video delves into the topic of NVIDIA's MFG, which is absolutely worth learning about, but also digs deep into its decisions to take ancient PresentMon code and then write what we think is a misleading review guide about how it works, updating it seemingly after we raised the alarm in discussions.
