I found the Boogeyman in deep space. It's a dark nebula in the Orion constellation and is 1,500 light-years from Earth. It's surrounded by lots of red glowing hydrogen gas in the background. I captured it with my Celestron RASA telescope, ZWO ASI533MC color camera, Antlia L-Filter, and an Optolong L-eXtreme filter from Starfront Observatories in Texas.

Mars is set to pass behind the wolf moon. The red planet is going to pass behind the moon in an event known as lunar occultation. It’s a trick of perspective and size, when the moon lines up with a smaller-appearing object and blocks it from our view.

We had an amazing visit in October from a comet that was visible to the naked eye. But now it's leaving us and won't return for over 80,000 years. If we look deep, the ice ball that left a 20 million-mile-long tail can be seen.
