The 2025 MG ZS is all about taking the small SUV series to the next level with a new, second-generation model. The original version was a smash-hit for the Chinese brand, helping to firmly entrench itself in the list of Australia's best sellers. Of course, its success was underpinned by value, or at least the conception of it, as some of the first generation's features weren't necessarily high quality.
So, the new Hyundai Kona HEV rival is looking to the raise the benchmark across the board, including with its more contemporary exterior design, higher-end interior and the availability of a series-parallel hybrid powertrain, which combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a front-mounted electric motor to deliver on its fuel-saving promise.

The 2025 Audi Q7 represents the second facelift of the second-generation large SUV, which was revealed all the way back in January 2015. As such, it's just celebrated its 10th birthday, which makes it ancient in automotive terms, especially in the premium segment where next-gen models arrive every five to seven years on average.
This means the 'new' Q7 faces some stiff competition from the much newer BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLE, with its latest update attempting to close the gap with sharper exterior styling via optional new HD Matrix LED headlights and a redesigned front grille and air intakes. Inside, the multimedia system now supports third-party apps, including Spotify, while the digital instrument cluster's functionality has been expanded.

The 2025 Mazda BT-50 is looking to make its mark on Australia's very competitive ute segment, which is currently led by the Ford Ranger, Toyota HiLux and Isuzu D-Max. Of course, the latter is the BT-50's twin under the skin as of this shared generation, meaning the two have a lot in common. But their differences are increasing with the Mazda's major facelift, which has just launched, ushering in a bold new look.
Up front, the facelifted BT-50 looks markedly different to its predecessor thanks to a redesigned fascia, which is headlined by a new grille and headlights. At the rear, its tailgate has been overhauled. But the big news is the deletion of the manual transmission option, with the Mazda now an automatic-only affair.

Few new models have ignited as much debate as the 2025 BMW M5 super sedan. What's all the fuss about? Well, the seventh-generation model adds a plug-in hybrid system to its predecessor's 4.4-litre twin-turbo petrol V8 engine. Yep, that means lower fuel consumption, but it also means a higher kerb weight, which could have an impact on performance.
To be specific, the bent eight now produces 430kW of power and 750Nm, while the electric motor adds another 145kW/450Nm into the mix for combined total outputs of 535kW/1000Nm – yep, that's four digits of twist. The claimed 0-100km/h sprint time is a familiar 3.5 seconds, while top speed is 305km/h.

Few new models have been as eagerly anticipated in Australia as the 2025 Toyota Prado large SUV, which is also known as the LandCruiser 250 Series in some other markets.
