Now that we’ve chopped the roof, the back window situation is completely different—nothing lines up the way it used to. To make it fit, we’re going to have to section the roof and bring the window up into position. There’s no blueprint for this kind of custom work—it’s all about problem-solving, making the right cuts, and following the right order of operations. One wrong move, and we could be in for a world of trouble 😬

The roof is chopped, but now we’ve got a major problem—nothing lines up! The biggest issue? The A-pillars are off by over an inch on both sides. To make this roof fit again, we’re going to have to make some relief cuts on the top and bottom and hammer it into place. This is hands down one of the toughest roof chops we could take on, thanks to the front and back windows. There’s no easy fix here—it’s all about problem-solving as we go and making it work. Let’s see if we can pull this off...

It’s officially time to chop the roof on the 1960 Pontiac, and we’re not holding back! We want this chop to be radical, so we’re thinking six inches—but to play it safe (and smart), we’re starting with three and a half inches first. If that works, we’ll push it further. Bad Chad is going to let Colton take the lead on the cuts. This is one of those jobs where there’s no turning back, so we’re just hoping it all comes together the way we see it in our heads.

Today's plan? Rip out all the interior, glass, headliner, and seats so we can start chopping the roof. While cruising the back roads of California, we stumbled upon a hot rod shop. So, of course, we had to pull in and check things out.
